Teff Flour

Teff is an ancient grain originating in Ethopia, where it is still a staple of the country's diet. Traditionally, teff flour was used to make a fermented pancake. This nutritional powerhouse is high in iron (our pancake mix has 15% RDA of iron), protein, calcium and fiber.  Iron is essential to delivering oxygen throughout the body and increasing energy levels. Due to its high nutritional profile, it is often enjoyed by athletes.

Organic Buckwheat Flour

Despite the name, buckwheat is not related to wheat, rather buckwheat comes from the fruit of the buckwheat plant. Buckwheat is rich in zinc, which helps to prevent a weak immune system and regulate blood sugar, as well as B vitamins. Traditionally, buckwheat is used in pancakes and noodles.

Chia seeds are a powerful superfood once used as currency for its exceptional value. The Aztec warriors used this endurance seed, rich in omega-3 fatty acids, fiber and protein to run great distances. Organic Raw Cacao

Raw cacao, or "food of the gods", comes from the cacao bean, also known as chocolate! It is the highest antioxidant food on the planet, helping to protect against free radicals. In addition, it is one of the highest sources of magnesium (one of the most deficient minerals in the standard American diet) and iron. Plus, raw cacao produces the endorphin anandamine, known as the bliss chemical, so it makes us feel great!
