Engage & interact
Rachael shares how she is in her DMs every day and tries to answer as many messages as possible. Similarly to if you were a brand, you want to make sure your followers feel that you're excited that they are a part of your community and welcomed in your space.


Listen to feedback
It's important to listen and ask your community why they're here in the first place and what they want to see. Rachael shares how her community requested more recipes which inspired her to create her first cookbook, Rachael's Good Eats.
Create a space for growth
Rachael talks about how she created a private Facebook group, where her community is able to participate in wellness challenges together and have not just one accountability partner, but a whole community to encourage and inspire one another. It's a place to build friendships, share progress and pictures, and be challanged and encouraged by others.


Find your niche
Rachael shares how honing in on a niche topic or market has been really helpful for her. Rachael said building a community that really resonated with that one topic helped her know where to start and then expand from there.
