The Year of Superfoods

This year has been an exciting one at Purely Elizabeth. We’ve launched our Vibrant Oat Cups brightened with superfoods, pitaya, blue algae spirulina and turmeric, along with our Superfood Grain-Free bars powered by reishi. We believe in creating foods that do more for your body and mind, and we are excited to fuse the powerful adaptogens, reishi and ashwagandha, with nutrient-rich ingredients to create the ultimate Superfood Granola launching in Whole Foods October 2018!

What are Adaptogens?

Simply put, adaptogens are herb and plant medicines that have been shown to support and balance various parts of the body.

Reishi, known as the sacred “Mushroom of Immortality” in Chinese medicine is not only a prebiotic, but may also help support healthy immune function and aid the body’s response to stress. The powerful properties in this magic mushroom have been known to provide overall well-being to the body.

Ashwagandha is an ancient herb used for thousands of years in Ayurvedic medicine to relieve stress, increase energy and improve concentration. This popular herb has been known to regulate the the body’s stress hormone, cortisol, and can make you feel calmer and reduce feelings of fatigue, body aches and muscle pains.

Our newest superfood granolas cater to the familiar Purely Elizabeth taste of salty-sweet and bursts of cinnamon, but are enhanced with adaptogens for an extra boost of energy and positive health benefits with your body in mind.
