Galaxy Donuts

These Galaxy Donuts are as beautiful as they are tasty! Our favorite part is that the donuts themselves are easy to whip up (we used the Simple Mills Vanilla Cake Mix recipe in a donut tin, but plain store-bought donuts work, too!), but you can get creative with different frosting types and designs to make them yours. 

Frosting Ingredients
4 cups powdered sugar (option for paleo powdered sugar!) 
1/2 cup milk of your choice 
2 tablespoons coconut oil 
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Superfood powders for coloring (we love these by Unicorn Superfoods) 
Optional: Silver food-grade edible glitter, for sprinkling

Frosting Directions 
Whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, coconut oil and vanilla until smooth and silky. Adjust the powdered sugar until the icing is a thick liquid consistency, but not too drippy. Add a few pinches superfood coloring powder and mix to tint the base. Add a few pinches of your desired color and swirl the surface of the icing several times with a skewer or toothpick.
