What I'm Loving | April 2020
I am so excited to announce the launch of this brand-new monthly series! What I’m Loving This Month is where I will be sharing my top favorite things that I’ve been loving over the past month. From new skincare and self-care products to the latest wellness shows and podcasts I’m binging, every month you’ll get a chance to discover the things you’ll want to add to your life ASAP.
So, let’s talk April. This month has been all about staying in, spending time taking care of myself, and embracing all things cozy. Check out my list of six favorites I’ve been loving lately:
Purely April Favorites
The Goop Lab Docuseries on Netflix
Need a new show recommendation to watch on Netflix? While there’s tons of binge-worthy series on Netflix, one of my recent favorites I just finished is the goop lab with Gwyneth Paltrow. This series dives into the story behind this modern lifestyle brand and raises questions about compelling wellness topics — including energy healing, psychics & psychedelics, cold therapy, and more.
Each episode begins with a disclaimer stating the show is meant to entertain and inform, not provide medical advice. With this in mind, I enjoyed learning insights from Gwyneth while getting an inside look at how her wellness team operates. With six 30-minute episodes, it’s an easy series to binge on a lazy Saturday or a relaxing way to end a work-from-home day.
Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser
Glossier is always a go-to for glowy, effective skincare. I’ve been starting my skincare routine every morning with Glossier’s Milky Jelly Cleanser. Seriously, nothing else compares to this cleanser! It checks all the boxes: gentle, creamy, non-drying, pH-balanced, cruelty-free, and suitable for all skin types.
This is the perfect solution to clearing and hydrating stressed skin, with a silky texture and light & fresh scent. At the end of every day, I use Milky Jelly Cleanser on dry skin to remove dirt and makeup before bed. Get ready to glow!
NuFace Trinity
Another skincare favorite I’ve been loving lately is my NuFace Trinity facial toning device. I typically use it once a day, in the morning when applying my face wash. In as little as five minutes a day, the Trinity works to help improve facial contour, facial tone, and reduce wrinkles. It’s only been a few weeks, and I’ve already started to see results (or maybe it's all the home-cooked meals?!). This is a great investment piece to add to your skincare routine!
Nécessaire Body Wash
Showertime is more fun when you have a trusty body wash by your side! The Body Wash from Nécessaire, a daily multi-vitamin cleanser for skin health, always has a home inside my shower. This body wash has a lightweight gel texture that feels AMAZING on skin. The best part? You only need a few drops for a rich, creamy lather. Nécessaire always leaves my skin feeling soft, moisturized, and nourished after every shower.
My personal favorite scent is Eucalyptus, but the wash also comes in Sandalwood or fragrance-free. If you really want to relax, indulge in a nightly warm bubble bath with just a few drops of body wash in the tub. Go ahead — light a candle, pour yourself a glass of rosé, and indulge in your new wellness routine.
Parachute Amber Cotton Cloud Robe
Talk about major #loungegoals! This amber robe got its name for a reason... Once you slip it on, your body will literally feel like it’s wrapped in a soft cloud. Parachute is well-known for its cozy at-home essentials, and this robe is no exception. Made from premium 100% Turkish cotton, this robe was designed to have a relaxed, ultra-comfy fit. Oh, and did I mention it has two hidden side pockets?
This amber robe has quickly become one of my favorite pieces to wear around the house. Whether you wear it after stepping out of the shower, lounging around the house all day (no judgment here!), while cooking, or getting comfortable before bed, this is the perfect lounge accessory to add to your must-have wishlist… or your online shopping cart.
Live a Longer Life and Reverse Aging with Dr. David Sinclair Podcast
If you’re tired of watching movies or listening to the same music station on repeat, now is the perfect time to browse the Apple Store and start subscribing to podcasts.
Don’t worry, I’ve got your next episode covered! An episode that’s stuck with me is Live a Longer Life and Reverse Aging with Dr. David Sinclair from The School of Greatness, available on Apple Podcasts. Dr. Sinclair shares his groundbreaking research on the science of aging, how much is reversible, and how to increase your longevity & health. This podcast is a must-listen!
