Voluntary Recall on Grain-Free Granola

We want to inform you that we have initiated a voluntary recall on several of our Grain-Free Granola offerings due to possible foreign matter contamination. If you have purchased our Coconut Cashew Grain-Free Granola, Banana Nut Butter Grain-Free Granola or our Pumpkin Spice + Ashwagandha Grain-Free Superfood Granola, they may be impacted by this recall. We are implementing this recall, because we learned that cashews provided by our supplier during a brief time this spring may contain foreign objects. We have taken corrective action and replaced this cashew supplier with a new one.

We are confident that no 8oz Coconut Cashew Granola ordered from our storefront that was shipped from Amazon prior to 3/27/19 was affected.  Products sold through our storefront are identified on Amazon as “by Purely Elizabeth.”  If you purchased from a different vendor, or if you are not sure whether you purchased from our storefront, check whether the product code and date on your label match the recall notice.

We are confident that no 8oz Banana Nut Butter Granola ordered from our storefront that was shipped from Amazon prior to 1/24/19 was affected.  Products sold through our storefront are identified on Amazon as “by Purely Elizabeth.”  If you purchased from a different vendor, or if you are not sure whether you purchased from our storefront, check whether the product code and date on your label match the recall notice.

How to Identify a Recalled Item:

Impacted items are listed in the chart below. Please refer to this image that indicates how to find the Best By Date on each item.

Only the products listed in the chart below and stamped with the Best By Dates listed below have been impacted. Any products listed below with Best Buy Dates that do not match this list and all other Purely Elizabeth products have not been impacted by the recall and are safe to consume. 

If You Have a Recalled Item:

We are offering free replacement products. If you have one of these packages, please do not consume the contents. As we are tracking the packages, we would appreciate it if you can please photograph the front and back, send us a photo by email [email protected] and dispose of the product. We will replace your product with a new bag of granola not impacted by the recall.
