This classic oatmeal recipe is given a sophisticated twist with the addition of caramelized apples and jammy figs. It's a perfect breakfast for any day of the week, and is the perfect way to cozy up on winter mornings.

Ingredients

1 cup Purely Elizabeth Vanilla Pecan Oatmeal

2 cups almond milk

3 tbsp maple syrup, separated

2 tbsp coconut oil

1 fuji apple, sliced

Dash of cinnamon

4 fresh figs, halved

Directions

  1. Add the almond milk, oatmeal and 2 tablespoons of maple syrup to the small pot over low/medium and heat cook for 3-4 minutes.

  2. Meanwhile, add remaining 1 tablespoon of syrup, coconut oil and apples to a small saucepan and cook over medium heat for 4-5 minutes.

  3. Transfer the oatmeal to two serving bowls and top with cooked apples and fresh figs. Drizzle with more maple syrup or honey if desired.
