Citrus Margarita

You really can't beat a classic margarita, unless it's this citrus spin on the traditional favorite. Made with fresh citrus, mint, and topped with crisp topo chico.

Don't forget to have extra ingredients on hand, you'll definitely want another.

Ingredients

2oz Tequila (or Mezcal) of choice

1oz Fresh Lime Juice

1oz Fresh Orange Juice

Topo Chico

Agave optional

Fresh Mint

Jalapeño

Cucumber

Orange Slices

Lime Slices

Directions: 

  1. Pour a layer of salt (or Tajin) onto a small plate. Run a lime slice along the rim of your glass and dip the rim of the glass into the salt. Add ice to your glass and set aside.

  2. Add mint, cucumber and jalapeño to a small cocktail shaker and muddle. Fill the shaker with ice and pour in the tequila (or mezcal), freshly squeezed lime juice and orange juice, and agave. 
  3. Shake for about 30 seconds or until the shaker is cold and strain into your glass.
  4. Top with topo chico and garnish with a slice of lime and an orange wheel.
